You can make a chocolate pudding...
http://www.yummyvegetariandelights.com/2010/03/chocolate-pud
ding-made-from-avocados.html

I was served one like this (not sure if they used this exact recipe but ingredients were the same) with sliced homemade bread if I remember correctly and it was surprisingly yummy.

And guacamole served with corn fritters and bacon goes down a treat. :)

Just make sure you throw them in an authentic manner.

I sometimes make a dessert which is similar to a chocolate mousse (and which vegetarian, vegan, dairy free): I would call it "Choc avocado mousse" maybe - it certainly tastes way different from the traditional dairy version.

2 or more ripe avocados, the meat scooped out of the shell
3 tablespoons honey (more or less to taste or any other sweetener)
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
pinch of salt

Use a blender or food processor to blend the avocados until smooth.
Add the rest of the ingredients and blend again until everything is combined.
Add more or less sweetener according to your taste.
Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Avocado icecream is also quite common - you'll find plenty of recipes online. I've never had the courage to try avocados in a sweet dish however!

Or the classic......mashed or sliced onto vogels bread topped with tomatos and plenty of salt/pepper. Yum.

Lazy-man's avocado recipe.

Baby's first food after breast-feeding:

Ingredients :
1 organic ripe avocado, 6.5 Tablespoons of breast milk

Directions :
1. Peel the avocado and cut to large pieces.
2. Place in food processor, gradually add milk. Process for 30 seconds, mix and process for another 10 seconds.

Not sure if chinju wants to acquire a baby so she can do your breast milk recipe ellie ... hmmm maybe not the "run of the mill" solution for too many ripe avo's there.

Uli, you shouldn't under estimate the love some people have for avo's... I'm sure they'd come to love the baby... eventually... :-P

I sometimes chop them up with chopped tomato and red onion or spring onion and mix through a bit of avocado and garlic dressing or you could just use lemon juice.

I have recently returned from Melbourne where avocado mashed with feta cheese then topped with a runny egg and served on toasted bread was all the rage - and it really is delicious!

I've been having the mashed avocado and feta with crackers or toasted pita breads as a quick snack.
