| Is it safe to use Windows 7 without a commercial anti-virus programme, or is there one built in which is good enough? I understand Windows 10 is OK without. tygertung - 2021-11-14 14:29:00 |
| Yes. nice_lady - 2021-11-14 14:40:00 |

| Oh I always am a bit careful when browsing, especially on a Windows machine. But thanks for the info. Will have to see how I get on with my new Windows ME machine next week. tygertung - 2021-11-14 16:17:00 |
| Win ME ? You'll be lucky to be able to use that on the internet. Finding an up-to-date browser that'll actually install and run might be difficult ? Are you a masochist by some chance ? nice_lady - 2021-11-14 16:29:00 |

| I am windows 11 and have 'windows security' saying 'no actions needed' so I guess everything is fine and being taken care of. One thing I noticed while in hospital here in Whangarei while Mum was unwell. all the hospital computers (that I saw) are running windows 7. muppet_slayer - 2021-11-14 16:36:00 |
| hes talking running Windows me not windows 7 hes a rambling fool docpc - 2021-11-14 16:38:00 |
| Yeah and the other odd thing is he refers to his 'new' Windows ME machine. nice_lady - 2021-11-14 16:51:00 |

We will see how we get on. Should be able to at least get K-Meleon going on it. Have a new motherboard and CPU coming maybe tomorrow so should be fun. But might try using my original CPU first. tygertung - 2021-11-14 19:21:00 |
