I need to download Firefox,
but unsure what S mode is all about?,
I am not much of a computer geek,
please kind people ca you help me out?

S mode is Microsoft's way of preventing you from using Android etc from memory. Pretty sure you will need to turn off to down load Firefox.

Ummm you never could 'use android' on windows anyway unless you run an android emulator like say Bluestacks.

S mode prevents you from using anything not MS

S mode restricts you to only installing apps from the Microsoft store. The Microsoft store does contain software from other providers. But you cannot install software except from the store.

There's a one-way upgrade described in post #3 to regular Windows.
