Replace Desktop or Go For Microsoft Surface Pro?

| 1 | There are advantages to both but I am interested in the portability of the Surface Pro. On balance, would anyone here like to tell me if the Surface Pro will perform the same functions as my desk top. It may seem an odd question but my DH loves his Apple tablet but there is the odd function it just doesn't do and he has to use my desktop. Like printing stuff. My computer has to connect to a printer. Sometimes he can't copy links and pop them in an email. There are probably a few other minor things he cannot do but I just cannot recall at present. So I require a computer that will do everything my Desk top does. I already know I can use it to take photos which my Desktop most certainly cannot do. I presume I will be able to send those photos on. Also could it be configured to do Facetime (an Apple programme I know) but it would be so convenient. buzzy110 - 2021-11-02 09:33:00 |

When travelling I am always impressed by the lightness, portability and ease of use of my DH's Apple Tablet. I'd get one of those but I need a workhorse as well. He just uses his for the net and e-mails. I miss my files when I'm travelling or away from home. | 10 | surface pros are really underwhelming. Very pricey, and they are virtually unrepairable. MS will send a replacement unit (from australia) if it has a hardware fault under warranty, outside of warranty its E-waste.
