my query. How long should an ipad battery last. I use mine about 9+ hours a day, and have had it for about three, maybe four years.
What's my alternative, new battery when it dies, or new ipad

Depends on the model on how replaceable the battery is. Looking at $175 for authorised Apple service centre to replace the battery.

Ships to my place Monday 08-Nov. They're still coming into the country. If you looked at NL's or similar they have zero actually in stock and say 'on special order' ....

I was very recently looking at buying an ipad but they ALL were out of available stock. I looked a lot. Gave up for now.

Thinking might go Samsung tab instead.

It's (I think) ipad 10. Would that be right. It cost a fair bit, and yes, it still does the updates etc. Actually it's been brilliant, I bought a tablet for my husband, (thinking it would be easier for a non techie man) can't do anything much with it. I got it set up, but can't find anything on it. Facebook, trademe etc. He can play only one game on it, hearts. I thought it would be easy....NOT!!!
I want him to take over the one I use, and I'll buy a more up date ipad, but the news that they are scarce is a shock to me.

What ? What type of tablet, (make and model please). Facebook, trademe etc are extremely easy to find on any device.
