Is there a software ?

That tracks all the files that a piece of software installs then wrights out a log file for you to look at ?
I know theres things like Revo uninstaller etc but as far as I know theres no log file.
Windows OS.

check sysinternals site they've got things like that

'filemon' might be one of them for instance

Filemon and regmon have both been discontinued.
But Process Monitor possibly can be coerced into doing what I want, kludgy and slow but better than nothing.

How about a command prompt and something like:
dir C:\*.* /s >files.log

You'll be astonished at what files.log then contains.

If you wondered, even try this:
dir /?
