Just wanted to see if anyone has successfully plugged in a pfsense router directly into their chorus ONT? Removing the need for the rubbish ISP router

You can plug any router into your ONT if the router is capable of being setup for Fibre. I've simply piggy backed onto the 'rubbish isp router' and use the better router for our wifi.

Help us out by naming the rubbish ISP routers, how would we otherwise know what these are?

I have OPNsense on a clients network. Gives a great breakdown of traffic / threats / geoblocking. Stable as too, running as a VM.
