The message board was originally introduced as a way for members to help each other use the site, but over the years its purpose has moved away from that. Community is there for you to keep chatting with each other about Trade Me related things, but for all the other stuff, this is best done in other chat rooms. After a short time, those who had lost a significant amount of their life glued to it suddenly move on and found new things to do. I wonder for example what happened to all the characters that used to hang out in the 'spirituality' board here?, there was always controversy there. Maybe they found a new home, dunno, I certainly didn't follow them and only viewed for entertainment value. NZ Vintage Computing on FB Groups covers a little of what comes up here from time to time but I'm sure some will be relieved to be spared some of the inane questions that regularly sprout.
