6 | All USB ports supply power. Some devices need more than what is supplied from a single USB port. In that instance sometimes you'll need a "Y" USB cable. This had two USB plugs on one end to supply extra power. OR the device will have a power input plug hole and you should have info either on the device, or on a supplied spec sheet, to say what power input is required. nice_lady - 2021-10-13 18:56:00 |
7 | Does the PC support USB 3? If not buy a PCI adapter with USB 3. lythande1 - 2021-10-14 08:16:00 |
8 | OP says it's a new PC, it should have USB 3 ports coloured blue, red or yellow. And the cable supplied with the USB 3 DVD player should have been a USB 3 cable. And the USB 3 standard is backwards compatible with USB 2, so even if they use a USB 2 cable or black USB 2 port it should still work. gyrogearloose - 2021-10-14 09:05:00 |
9 | The supplied cable has a blue USB plug. fishb8 - 2021-10-14 21:53:00 |
