Hilarious, I've had those emails, if they think I even have a webcam etc and have been looking at pron, by all means publish away...I await the results eagerly.

It does sound quite feasible if you are not a computer expert, so easy to see why one could get scammed.

For a safety margin, one could be paranoid and put some tape over the camera.

Same scam did the rounds a few years ago, I remember getting a slightly sheepish call from a concerned receiver re should it be taken seriously or not. After they'd read it out, I reminded them they didn't own a webcam.
The relief on the other end of the line was tangible.
