1 | Do plastic cake stencils work on paper? I'm trying to find a simple "Happy Birthday" papercraft stencil for a card but the only ones I can find are for cakes, has anyone tried these for papercraft? model-man - 2021-09-28 12:18:00 |
2 | They are slightly heavier plastic or silicone than the ones usually used with paper, but if you were using a thicker medium through them then I can’t see why they wouldn’t work. Otherwise you could ask locally to see if someone could cut you out one using an electronic die cutting machine like a Cricut or Silhouette. milo134 - 2021-10-05 13:05:00 |
3 | Yes, you can use them on paper. I sell them, and that is what people buy them for. (I'm not listing atm, and don't have any HB ones) Using finger daubers or similar, is what works the best, and tape down the stencil, to keep it in place. crafters_corner - 2021-10-07 22:48:00 |
4 | Thank you both for your ideas, I was amazed that I couldn't find any simple "Happy Birthday" papercraft ones even on Aliexpress although there seem to be plenty of Merry Christmas ones. Will give the cake ones a try. Thanks again. model-man - 2021-10-08 12:52:00 |
