#Post

I’m gonna build the house soon.

About bathroom I need to get some opinions please.

My shower looks very similar to photo attached.

Do you think I should set the mixer right hand side like photo or just under shower head?

Bathroom width is 1.9m
If it’s set on right hand side I feel too far to on and off the water.
But my family members said it’s better on right hand side because i don’t get wet by cold water.

Under the shower head. Same height not high under the shower head. You would have to walk from the other side to see if the water is to cold or not and when you are in the shower you will get cold having to walk out to adjust the shower temp. Then walk back and its not quite right. Turn it down to wash your hair and face and then turn it up. I always adjust the temp.

your going to waste a fair bit of water waiting for all that cold water to go through. you want the pipe from mixer to shower head to be as short as possible.

You should have the mixer under the shower but off set to one side a bit so you can turn it on and stand to the side while testing the temp with your hand, that is the safest position.

You can always turn the shower head away so the water is not directly on you when you turn it on. Definitely too far away in the picture. I'm cold just looking at it.

I would put the mixer closest to the side that you get into/out of the shower from, and Its a total pain having to always turn the shower head towards the wall before turning the mixer on.

Under shower rose - It's weird being opposite.
The point of turning it on, is to get wet, pretty hard to have a shower and stay dry....

Anyway the shower rose can be turned so it isn't spraying out, point it to corner or where ever you want to direct the stream.

At first glance this looks great, it would be nice to get the shower going properly without cold water on your arm. But, do you ever adjust the temperature or water flow mid-shower? I often do, and having to get out to make the water a bit warmer would be irritating, so I wouldn't do this.

FYI legally those fittings (anything easily accessible) only have to last 5 years. Not sure if having the mixer waaaay over the other side could mean a more expensive replacement later too.
