Does anyone know how long it takes to get Code of compliance for a new build in level

A family home is inherited and then rented out.
What are the future tax liabilities if sold within 10 years?
Is the increase in value taken from the time of inheritance?
With a sole beneficiary a valuation may not have been done.
Is this something that needs doing at this point?

We are West Auckland. Our final sign off was end of May, application for CoC submitted early June, still waiting.

*they have asked for more info several times, most of it they already had or should have had. One time asked us for Watercare sign off (we are rural, own septic system and rain water tanks)..... Sigh.

There's your problem, you should have asked for a CCC

It is a Code Compliance Certificate. Code of Compliance is an oxymoron. Ha ha, just seen previous comment.

If still delayed you could lodge an official information request under the LG OA Act. For example - ask for the record of each step of the application's process, including for each request from the council associated documentation including file notes, and whether they had the information already (or should have). Suggest you will find that action happens quite quickly, mostly because OIA requests are managed at a higher level and get more scrutiny.

Takes the requester 10 minutes, council officials rather more time! The OIA is powerful, should be used more often to hold officials to account.
