Edge upgrade of user settings? ..F*off!

#Post
1

In the interests of lowering general annoyance levels, a tip which may be old news to some edge users (as of May) but something I'd finally had enough of after ignoring it.

The ever so helpful prompt to reset your browser settings to use Bing etc.
See below to get rid of its pushy little wheedling nagging.

Cut and paste the following into your address bar

edge://flags/#edge-show-featur-
e-recommendations

Hit enter, choose disable on the below highlighted item then restart edge.
Banish the nagging prick to the outer rings of oblivion.

or don't use edge.
Because you know they'll reset that default behaviour with an update at some point.

It's super difficult to get rid of Edge. You cannot just simply delete it from your Programs list. Unfortunately.

when your other browser breaks you'll be rather pleased that Edge is still there...

I wasn't suggesting to uninstall it. Just use another browser.

No I don't know that.
What I do know is that behaviour was never a default but has been added recently in response to user need.
