World's safest cities 2021 Welly, but no Auck?

#Post

Seems weird that Wellington is there and Auckland isn't. Surely, it's safer than Cairo! Also, they consider the pandemic response. Really strange not to have Auckland there. Wellington did not feel safe at all with so many homeless on the streets and apparently, an incident involving the police happening every day in Aro Park. Anyway, here is the read, it has the PDF of all the cities for download. Very strange. https://safecities.economist.com/safe-cities-2021-whitepaper

you originally said food, now you talk about rubbish.

Not really, I've been to Turkey and experienced plenty of excellent kebabs and hookahs there.

It's been a while since you've been to Fort St apparently.

With lockdown, yes a little while. Has it changed in the past month?

Fort St hasn't been full of strippers and hookers for years and years

given the per capita differences between auckland (1.6m) and cairo (9.5m), Cairo would need 7 or 8 times the amount of crime for auckland to be "on par" statistically. So things like the murdered police officer really skew results against a small population center.

Economist.com is obviously not a credible news source. It's right up their with Stuff.
