So what? It never meant your/ OS ceased to work if you didn't update.
I never did, in all the yeas from win3 on to Win7 when I gave up on Windows.
Never had malware either.

Yes of course you are correct but most ppl want the updates to continue & even more so on a brand new o/s.
As per normal, win11 will break more hardware then any previous version/ update

This is shaping up to be MS's least successful new OS release ever. The sheer number of clone PC's with vanilla motherboard that have no intention of getting TPM modules, will be massive.
I hope they are smart enough to not send through nag screens about upgrading, to people whose computers wont meet the criteria.
