kindle android

I have used my hp with kindle off-line as a book only & used to plug into any of the computers which has a file with my books on usb. It would 'see it' & I would delet & download more books out of & into it's memory.. but a few years ago it wouldn't & I put it on the 'I'll get around to it list' as I started reading real books for a while.. I now have recently tried it on several computers that used to hook up as soon as I plugged into it, but don't & there are some books I want to reread..

can you help me - or should I take it to someone?

Kindle isn't anything to do with Android for a start.

Is it charged up and able to turn on?

So you're not using a Kindle DEVICE. What kind of android device are you using?
Have you plugged it into any different PC?
Have you tried a different cable?

Kindle Fire (I think it's called) is an Android device. Not so common though.

And then there is the kindle reader for Android, an app.

Reading between the lines and without further info it seems like the op may have a duff usb port or cable.

Much more info required, eg type of computer connected to, how is it charged, what is the brand of the device

I have recently discovered that not all cables can be used to add books to my kindle. Some just charge. Probably not a news flash to the technologically superior but a surprise to me.

Kindle is now back to allowing you to delete books dfirectly from your library which you used to be able to do until a system update in, I think 2016 (?), discontinued that ability. It is now been reintroduced after a lot of user complaints (10's of 1000's). Try going into your kindle account through Amazon and download books to the kindle, on whatever you are using as a reader, from your account

A PC will only 'see' an Android device if the Android device is powered on (and unlocked).

Is the basic problem that your Android device won't power on?
