Copy & paste formats - query

| 1 | Why is it that when copying and pasting, (maybe from HTML or even Facebook, that with text where there may be a double space, or even a single, there is often the small circle (such as the one for degrees) instead of the space? I copied the following from a Facebook post, into Word, but between the "A:" and the "Yes", I got the circle? A: Yes you can. I have noticed this in many copy and paste operations including from emails. It doesn't matter what the paste formatting option is, I get the circle. | 4 | Probably a non-breaking-space which word is displaying as a circle to indicate that it is special whitespace. Try print-preview or save as pdf and see if the circle is there, probably won't be. bitsy_boffin - 2021-07-27 19:22:00 |
