1 | I am living in a rental house and my landlord has decided to subdivide the section. What rights do I have as a tenant. I have planted fruit trees. Can the landlord suddenly decide to reduce the size of the section? jaybee104 - 2021-07-26 12:44:00 |

3 | Given the speed city councils move, I would think you have the best part of a year before anything material will happen, on-site. Once the sub division has been done what does the owner intend to do.. sell off the new sub divided bit?, sell off both the bits? Remember a RTA is just a contract and therefore subject to changes by agreement / negotiations. onl_148 - 2021-07-26 13:16:00 |
4 | So nothing will happen fast, as above, yes u have rights, talk to your landlord about it, or time frames etc, they may decide to sell the whole lot one day or half, he may not be able to subdivide, no one has a crystal ball.talk is the best solution always, you must remember nothing lasts forever, you may have to move one day, lots of possibilities, fruit trees take a while to bear fruit, who knows, look up the government tenancy laws, you do not own the property, but you do have some short term rights, just like the landlord does. Chill, the stress will kill u. msigg - 2021-07-26 15:09:00 |

dont worry about it - takes at least a year and he would have chucked you out by then as its a move to make extra $$$ before selling main house .... alleycatz - 2021-07-26 15:29:00 |
