How NOT to have to login every time

#Post
1

I used to be able to go straight into the likes of Trademe, Google, Youtube but now have to login every time. I think I must have clicked something I shouldn't have. Can someone tell me how to make the passwords stick so don't have to login each time?
Running Google Chrome & Win10 on an Asus lappy.
Appreciate your help.

Just checking - you are ticking the Remember me box when you log in, aren’t you?

Did you run CCleaner? Always eats my logins.

It doesn't have to - all you need to do is to thru the Ccleaner tabs and UNtick 'cookies'.........

Thanks nice_lady. Have done that and will see what happens when I run it later. Probably shouldn't save logins anyway.

Cool make sure you clik on 'Custom clean' and then UNtick cookies in Ccleaner on BOTH the 'Windows' and the 'Applications' tabs.

This is when you have ticked the remember password (and login) in your browser. You have cleared them all then. And that's a good thing, it is SO easy to hack your passwords when you save them on a browser like that you know. Far better to login each time.

Well that worked and so simple. Just shows the difference between an idiot and an expert . . . and you're so nice. Thanks.

My thread seems to have been hi-jacked. The thing is I know passwords should be safe but when I bought my lappy 5 yrs ago it was all set up for me and I never had to login to Google Youtube or Trademe.
I must have clicked on something I shouldn't have and it turned to custard. Noone else has access to my computer and my login for my Bank is never saved. Any ideas appreciated.

Kind words thanks - and there's a difference between and 'idiot' and someone who simply doesn't know something.....you're not an idiot I think.

open chrome
open a blank tab (just clik the + sign to the right of a tab)
copy the following:

chrome://settings/passwords

paste that into the address bar of the new tab
click enter

a chrome settings page will open
set to top two choices to ON.
