| Hi everyone. I have a levono laptop but it does not seem to want to charge. I had it on charge for 3 days and all that happened was that it seemed to loose any power it had. I kept getting a little window message say battery was very low and it should be plugged in. It was. What do I do about this please. blackhonker - 2021-07-07 14:13:00 |
| If you have a multimeter test the output of the charger would be the first thing I would do. muppet_slayer - 2021-07-07 14:16:00 |
| yep try another charger king1 - 2021-07-07 14:18:00 |
| Firstly make sure the charger is indeed plugged into a power source which is working. And secondly make sure that the charger is indeed plugged into the laptop. I've seen owners think their device was broken but it was simply the charger not quite plugged in correctly or the powersocket had blown a fuse and was dead. Always use a process of elimination. When you're certain that the charger is plugged in at both ends and you're certain that the power socket does indeed supply power then you can look at the charger as being potentially dead if it's not seeming to charge. Get a multimeter or get someone with one to test its outputting the correct voltage. If it isn't then replace it. If it is then you might need to take the laptop to a tech to sort out a possible problem with the power system. nice_lady - 2021-07-07 14:24:00 |
| thanks for your replies. What is a multimeter test and how do you do it. blackhonker - 2021-07-07 14:26:00 |
| Another thing to try would be to make sure that the wall socket has power to it by trying another device in the wall socket, like a fan or something that will tell you straight away whether it has power to it or not. muppet_slayer - 2021-07-07 14:27:00 |
| My laptop was indeed plugged in both ends and the power supply was a working one. so maybe it is the charger. I will try another one. Thank you. blackhonker - 2021-07-07 14:28:00 |
