Jovi Modelling Clay, need help please,

#Post

Jovi Modelling Clay, has anybody used this?,
I have a little project to do and it will be for outdoor use,
Once this goes hard, does it stay hard if it is left out in the weather?,
or will it need to be sealed from moisture?,

The packet does not give much information, sigh !,

any help/knowledge would be appreciated, Cheers

Hi, I am asking pacifically about Jovi Brand clay, some clays have different properties, so not all the same, some may behave differently to others,
so some out there may have a good idea about using Jovi,

That link was the best one I got from googling Jovi. Specifically.

But hey, you might get better specific results doing that yourself.

My name is not Hey!, Cows eat Hay!, Yes done the googling thing,
but nice to get personal hands on experiences, that is why I asked here,
it all very well googling stuff,
But it can be better asking and get information from those that have actually used it, had hands on experience and different ideas and views and used in different situations,

This is why we have a message board for Crafts and hobbies, get ides from each other and share our personal thoughts on the subject,

What do you actually want to achieve? May be a better way to solicit help would be to say what you are doing.
My wife is a Potter, and she makes a line of Fairy Houses. The clay she uses gets kiln fired twice, which turns the clay to ceramic state, the colours get fixed and the lot are totally waterproof and weather resistant.

'but hey' is an expression like 'oh well'

It wasn't a name. It would have been capitalised, had it been. It was a verbal shrug, indicating several things, one of which was a casual dislike of your rudeness to someone who was genuinely trying to help.

I hope you find what you are looking for.

Gosh so much angst over a genuine question asked and not unkindly asked IMHO .
I have used this brand but sorry have no experience with leaving my creations outside .However personally I would seal if I was leaving anything to the weather .
I make a lot of outdoor mosaics and always seal these .Sone survive for years , others succumb …sadly.I try and remember to bring indoors during our winters , but then I live way down South .
You have reminded me how much fun modelling clay is …Thanks .

I used to use this when I was young but I only used the items inside. Even though it dries hard, I did still seal with clear varnish
