Can I please have some i pad help ? I brought an I pad air in 8 years ago and its just died, wont charge, I am wondering do I get it repaired or do I just upgrade and if so to what? Only use to take a few photos and watch movies etc and use the web? Thanks

Have you tried to ascertain whether it's the ipad that wont charge or the charger that's faulty ?

So did they give you a quote to repair it ?
And what is your budget for a new one if you go that route ?

Thanks, no not yet, dont really want to pay out $100 or so then to be told not worth repairing, I could of put that towards a new one. Thanks for your help

An 8 year old Ipad ? Better to throw it out and get a newer, faster, better model I'd say.

If it is internal it is quite likely to be the charging port connection. To replace the actual part is not expensive but to do it is quite technical; beyond most DIY ers. There are however a few simple ideas on youtube that might solve the problem. If they do not work I would say it would be better to a buy a new one and sell the one you have on Trademe

Gen 1 is no longer supported, and Gen 2 might not be far behind. Replace it.
