1 | Have a bernina Nova 900 sewed lovely when I sold it yesterday. Sold and bought back today with needle not going up or down. so not sewing. The needle goes up and down intermittently now only. Have tried the wheels and bobbin function but it is not them. Makes all the right sounds so the motor is OK well I think it is OK. Does anyone have any suggestions please. 4 | Have it going again now thankyou could be the drive belt. will look at that, dilligaf_dah - 2021-06-06 15:13:00 |
5 | Also could be the foot??? My mum had a similar issue with her sewing machine pedal/foot and the connection to the machine. I think she took it to be fixed/serviced and no problem since. lakeview3 - 2021-06-08 07:51:00 |
6 | Did they drop it? voyager4 - 2021-06-09 11:11:00 |
7 | I would spend the money and get it serviced if you havent done it for ages, or ever, because it shouldnt break down again for a long time. articferrit - 2021-06-09 15:04:00 |

Very good question!! If it was sewing perfectly when you sold it and you showed them it was working and now it doesn't, then it shouldn't be your problem! I have seen a machine with a problem that was described as ' Er, the needle broke then the new needle woudn't go down the hole' Was able to adjust it so the needle goes down, but the whole needle/foot mechanism can move forwards and backwards a lot and the case was out of kilter... I believe it was dropped and some attachment piece has broken inside allowing it to move. hazelnut2 - 2021-06-09 16:47:00 |
