A good email provider?

#Post
1

Hi. Any suggestions on a good email provider please? I currently have hotmail and gmail, but have had problems with both at various times, which is a real worry when I'm awaiting medical contacts. At the moment I'm primarily using hotmail, and check my junk mail daily, but now even the junk mail folder is empty.

I'm with outlook.com - no complaints at all, works fine on my android phone.

I dont think you'll do much better than Gmail/Outlook.com

Whatever you do, never use any ISP provided mail services, it'll be a nightmare if/when you want to change internet providers

I guess the question is, what types of problems are you seeing? Sounds like some Email is not arriving? If so, you may have to try white listing them by ensuring that their Email address is in your contacts / address book (however will be dependent on E-mail provider)

In general Gmail for the most part appears to meet the needs of most regular users. (Though there have been reports recently of accounts disappearing / getting banned without any recourse nor any ability to speak to a human)

Currently using Zoho Mail (however this is a paid product) attached to my personal domain. Seems to operate Okay. Haven't noticed any important E-mails go missing. Support (when I've needed it) has been responsive.

Thank you everyone for your help. It was a while ago that I had a problem with Gmail and I stopped using it then so I don't now remember the details. Perhaps it's time to give it another go. Thanks again for taking the time to comment.

If you can't trust Alphabet Inc and Google with your email the world would be sad place.
