Have recently read that Cloudfare's IP address will speed up my surfing. Is it worth doing...or to the Google address?
I know how to change it on my ASUS RT-AX560. Will this change affect my mobile phone address (1 Android & 1 Iphone) when using our WIFI or can that be changed too?

Unless your ISPs DNS is extremely slow it isn't going to make much of a difference either way.

As to the second question if you change it on the router it will apply to any devices you have connected to it unless you have manually specified an alternate DNS on the device itself.

really doesn't make that much difference, only reason you might want to is for one of the service based dns servers eg ad blocking, porn/bad website filtering etc

I an on MyRepublic...never noticed any delays or blocked sites with them.
So the consensus is there's very little difference..Just changed to Cloudflare on my router - very easy and UK sites do seem a little bit quicker but placebo effect, maybe?

You don't even need to run it on a Rasberry Pi which are very expensive. I'm running it on an old HP slim client which I bought for $15.
