I have a 2 hour long home movie on a DVD and want to extract a clip in the middle of this 2 hours ( about 2-3 minutes long). Is there a way I can do this so I can put the clip on something like Facebook? TIA.

Does your computer have a dvd drive? If so just view and edit it on there. There are no doubt dozens of programs out there that you could use. It will depend what system you are running but likely a bundled item you can use with your Operating System

For example Windows 10 would be Microsoft Photos, which includes a video editor ingeniously titled "Video Editor."

Thanks Callum, yes I have a laptop with dvd drive, Win 10 OS. Will give the video editor a try.
