#Post

Has anyone else ever been blocked on Facebook marketplace? I have all of a sudden nearly x3 weeks ago been blocked.
I have no idea why or how to fix.
I have put in requests on why but these go unanswered

No idea, that’s just it . FB doesn’t tell you why you are blocked. I was selling items for a baby shower, next thing I know I’m blocked.

I haven't been blocked on facebook marketplace but I couldn't list car jumper leads. You can't have animals in photos of stuff you are selling like a cat in front of a table. There must be a rule you are breaching, someone can report you as well. It may be bots that are flagging your listing not humans.

I'm surprised a TradeMe bot hasn't blocked you on here for discussing FB Marketplace.

Probably shouldn't have tried to sell your copy of 'Mein Kampf', or perhaps you were 'unkind' in a former life.

There is quite an extensive list of stuff that are no go areas on FB marketplace. Often it's weird stuff that you wouldn't think of. Apart from the animals that most people now know about there is a whole host of stuff deemed "medical" For baby shower stuff avoid any photos of babies, especially too much flesh. Breasts/breast feeding, pumps etc can also get the hammer. Anyway. Here is a list I found........

If you navigate to the FB Support Inbox page in a browser via the Desktop Web interface...

'Account' --> 'Help & Support' --> 'Support Inbox'. --> Click 'Your Violations'

Does it list any violations in there?

(Only discovered it the other day while trawling the settings trying to curtail / tame Facebooks invasive Ad tracking... If friends didn't insist I use FB as their only way of staying in touch, would delete my account in a heartbeat)

Posting this link got me banned for a month. Be warned - it's not for the faint hearted and contains language that might offend [or not].

Pretty much explains the types of responses>

"Our technology helps us review reports first." = Is a crock of manure.

Couple of years ago, I went through all their hoops in getting a page verified as a legit business page & got it FB certified.
Last year they changed the cert display system, removed most of the certs & made us reapply.
Now they won't cert my page even though nothings changed legally

Believe it or not, working worm farms aren't allowed, even with careful wording about pickup and care, and need to "improve the environment by a reduction of household waste".

I appealed an "oversize mobility frame" on "lifestyle for disabled', "discrimination against disabled having ability for a fuller lifestyle", and "discrimination against overweight people" grounds when I wanted to sell locally in a suburb with a large amount of elderly/disabled people a walker I'd mistakenly bought that was far too big for me (and it sold within 2 hours of being listed on TM...!!).

Face covers, non-medical, and required for public transport were finally allowed as "fashion accessories"!.

No real rationality or reason to anything.

I tried to sell a line trimmer on Marketplace. They said it breached their T&As. Thought that in my photo it resembled a firearm! For goodness sake ..... even when I queried their stance they wouldn't budge. I had to take a photo that showed it without its handle. Obviously the 'screening' is not done by a human.
