Best celph for deaf people with good vibration?

#Post

Gday everyone! Being deaf I am looking for the best cell phone. I can't hear on them so which cell phone has the best vibration? Also one that has plenty of memory and storage for apps etc? There's so many brands out there these days that I have no clue! Thanks!

That's a difficult question to give advice on because I haven't made a comparison of different phones. Consumer NZ has, but you need a subscription unless you have a friend with one: https://www.consumer.org.nz/products/mobile-phones/guide

The feature you're looking for is haptics, google something like 'mobile phone with strong haptics', it give results like https://www.androidcentral.com/haptic-feedback-most-importan

Another option is ask a vendor with a range of phones such as https://www.spark.co.nz/help/accessibility and then use their live chat feature, they might put more effort into helping you selecting a phone from their range than a kiosk in the mall, and could setup a demo in their shop where you could try several phones.

Thankyou for that! That really helps what you've just told me...

My recommendation would be to get a smart watch that you paid to your phone, then the watch vibrates on your wrist.

Have you asked for a recommendation from the New Zealand foundation for the deaf? Perhaps they may be able to advise and help you find a phone that will suit you.

Would this 'sonic bomb alarm' be of interest? Could be used with any phone.

saw some reviews on youtube where people found this did not work for them, so perhaps not worth considering. Hope you can find something that would work for you.

I'd vote for that one. Hubby works at an airport. Outdoors. It's VERY noisy quite often. He has his fitbit setup to vibrate for calls & texts so that even if he doesn't have his phone in the pocket, so long as it's within bluetooth range he'll be aware of incoming. It's very handy for him.
