Blenheim - what are the best areas to buy in?

I own a property in Blenheim but have never lived there. Even purchased without viewing or even visting (was not even introduced to the agent but that's another story). Since then I have visited several times and love the place. My observation is that there are no bad areas per se but probably small pockets to avoid. That said, some of those pockets are very close to the CBD on large sites and in other centres would have been redeveloped years ago. It depends on your budget where to buy. To live I would buy slightly out of town perhaps at Rarangi and to invest, a 1000m2 plus site close to town. The locals are super friendly and 5.00 on'clock traffic is about 5 cars in a queue. | 11 | Yes.. Blenheim is a nice city to live and work in.. as stated Mayfield , Hutchinson street, Budge street / NMIT area are the "less desirable" parts of town... If you are into shopping / malls etc then you'll have to be prepared to join the crowd of people who trip over to Nelson for a days shopping or Christchurch for a weekend of shopping, but if your level of shopping sophistication peaks at a K Mart, then you'll be happy !! onl_148 - 2021-04-20 09:10:00 |
