1 | I have some heavy thermal blackout fabric for bedroom curtains. Do I measure each drop twice the wiindow width or two and a half times? I will post this in parents too as I am hoping to start on them this morning.. pauline999 - 2021-04-09 06:49:00 |
2 | Well that all depends on what sort of heading you are planning to use and how full you want the curtains to be. If I'm using gathering tape I always allow at least twice the width, usually 2.5 times. If I'm doing French pleats and pleating them myself, then I use twice the width. kuaka - 2021-04-09 10:02:00 |
3 | The drop will be the height from track to floor/window ledge, PLUS enough for hemming at top for curtain tape and to cover track, and at the bottom to cover window ledge, or just touch floor. voyager4 - 2021-04-09 10:03:00 |
4 | Thank you everyone - I will go 2.5 width and extend my curtain track each side so I have as much window exposed when the curtains are opened. pauline999 - 2021-04-09 10:18:00 |
