If you want to develop it for Android then look up Android Studio. TBH having written a couple of windows programs and fiddled around a bit with Android Studio I will say that unless you are a VERY smart cookie and or have some prior experience it'll be a HUGE learning curve for you.

I have a similar query - I've played Flight Simulator a few times and can now fly pretty well anything. Who do I need to see to get the license so I can apply for the AirNZ job.?

I hear that its easier to hire someone in India to do the programming. As with all outsourcing if garbage goes in then garbage goes out.

What AirNz job ? Think you've missed the boat, (plane/whatever), theres a LOT of unemployed pilots around right now.

Ah but I'm special as I've played it on the PC a few times.

Perhaps the OPs plans might be a bit more complex then....??

That was a very sad situation, but I'm impressed he was able to get the thing started and taxi'd out on the runway. There are also a lot of configuration changes required for flying.

Why?

Writing computer code appears to be pretty imposing to me. They need to teach it more in the schools.

It's not called a language for nothing and it's very much like learning a new language but perhaps less forgiving of errors.

There's a lot to learn. It would be undoubtedly much easier to be taught to write particular code rather than self learning. THAT takes dedication. Took Hubby about 3 months of self learning and a lot of very long days to teach himself to produce some workable programs in Delphi, (for windows).

He looked at Android studio, fiddled around with it a bit and made one very simple app then lost interest. Lol. It wasn't easy but his previous programming experience helped a lot.
