Internet extender

#Post

I have bought a rural property where I can only access the internet using cellphone data. I can get the internet from the corner of my garden (because I am direct line to a cell phone tower). Is there anything I can do to extend the coverage to the house?

Yeah install a cellphone signal booster they usually go on the roof. Ask your provider what they recommend.

Or if you wanna state who that is, Spark, Voda, etc maybe someone will have a recommendation

There is one other option but it's not cheap. Satellite internet.

Here's one example:

Trench cat6 to corner of garden and install a cellular router (Power over Ethernet) in a plastic waterproof box.

One option (these work well if reasonable signal):

Good solution but not the MikroTik- The modem boards available in the kit or seperate this side of the world do not support band 28. Band 28 is the 700 MHz 4G band used by the telcos rurally. You only end up with a sniff of 3G service in rural settings .
The URsalink UR32 is a better option in NZ and used by most

OP, do you have power available at the corner of your garden?

Point of using PoE is that you don't need power in the garden.

Ursalink is the better choice.

Will Skinny let you have Skinny 4G at your address?

Skinny are metro urban areas only, i.e., areas with strong signals, typically within 1 km of tower.
