Have to reconnect chromecast, (pc went to the doctors). Came across a message that chromecast can no longer be set up by pc. If that is true does that also mean I cannot cast from the pc? I dont have any other devices, eg smartphone tablet etc. I also want to avoid having to use google home account (long frustrating story).
Is this doable or am I s**t out of luck.
Replies in words of 2 syllables or less would be helpful

I can do that (I think) but there would be no app loaded on the pc, will I be able to cast from the pc when my friend takes her tablet home with her?

(Or am I over thinking the whole thing?)

Yes you can cast from Google chrome tabs and there are some apps which enable it also.
