If your having trouble getting a pattern, look for Jean Greenhowe's patterns she has a few different ones and very easy to do.
Sorry I cant help you with the making of them, Ive lost my knitting mojo. But they are really easy patterns to do.

The name is Topsy Turvy and if you google topsy turvy patterns there are quite a few for knitted ones and fabric ones.I had a fabric one as a kid. Can't help with the making, but I am sure that someone on here will help you.

If you Google Topsy Turvy doll patterns they are available as knitted ones or fabric. Another name, apparently, is flipover dolls but we always called them Topsy Turvy dolls. If you belong to Neighbourly you could ask on there to see if someone could make one for you.

Had one as a child but got frustrated that I couldn’t play with both the dolls at the same time - one was always ‘hidden’ ????

I had one when I was a kid, and my mother made my girls one, I have seen some recently somewhere that have a 'theme', little red riding hood and (topsy turvey) her grandmother, and another one of the wolf and her father etc.
