intrade Simpower are a pretty reputable company dealing only in batteries. It's unlikely they will be sourcing crap quality batteries. If you can't buy genuine then they should be a good second option.

Lithium ion batteries degrade year after year, I'm going to say 17% without any supporting link, regardless of whether it's in a phone or on the shelf in a shop. So if you buy a 'new, old stock' battery then it's already degraded.

Either buy a new battery where it has a date stamp proving it's recently manufactured, and you're sure it's genuine, or you'll see what you're observing - the battery life is degraded even though you just bought it.

LOL, really have to wonder what some ppl are doing with their ph's that should be done on a PC/laptop

I have a s/h Samsung galaxy s5 that still gets 2 days on a full charge.
Totally original & combo usage for everything I do.
Same result with the Galaxy S5 mini I brought brand new.
Even my old s4 gave me 3 to 4 days

Turn off apps you hardly ever use
Uninstall those you never use
There are other ways within the Samsung ph's settings that will disable/ remove a lot of those bloat apps.

All the wifes ph's have only ever given her one day on full charge.
But then again, she's constantly on FB chat & playing FB games

There is not to many battery if i find a lot i keep you in mind mrfixit.
Anyhow people dont seem to understand what the issue is.
i said it before and earli lipo battery we got was dead after a few month.
lithium ion has a 14 year livespan under best conditions. the same battery in your laptops who go dead premature are inside a tesla car.
shorting live is done with harsh conditions.. or a battery n a shelf degrades on its own.
lion battery early tech from nokia 3310 would go dead if used or not from 2 year onwards. time ebtropy degrades things we age also and die.
i wanted a good battery and a supplyer whom is good as per above somone said they are a good supplyer
i dont want a cheap battery lasting me another year if i can i want one who lasts another 4 years original one lasted more then 4 under harsh conditions.
What is harsh condition .. for a mobile phone daily use is harsh condition. more harsh is wireless charge this generates a lot of heat= bad for a battery .
this is what i would expect from a good supplyer just got this email this morning
Thank you for your order. Please note that your payment has been received and your battery has been ordered. The ETA is 4-6 weeks. As soon as your battery arrives we will pack and send it out to you along with the track and trace details.

Should you have any questions or there be anything we can do to help, please do not hesitate to ask.

so i hope i get one who is made fresh. or at least not already 7 year old.
also shipping battery is about the worst item you cant just get joe blog in a country to buy and send you one. shipping packets have to have a phone number anyone can call at any time and the phone has to be answerd within 30 secounds or so and tell exactly what type battery etc is inside. if not a 70 tousend doller fine will be issued or somthing. research the subject your self= this makes it ultra difficult to ship these dangerous goods and the transport costs are according high if you was to ship 1 battery legally.

I've got heaps of old nokia batteries as I always save them. They still seem to work fine if I have a compatible phone.

LOL try this.
I have two Sanyo 5600 cell ph's (CDMA networks)
I brought both second hand, one had been an international traveling salemans ph.
Both are still in full usage 24/7 as alarm clocks & both can be unplugged for upwards of 7 days before the battery goes flat.
One of those I use on a regular basis as an MP3 player

Back in those days it was preferable to get good battery life out of phones. People didn't want to have to plug them in every day.

i just got the replacement battery fitted old one was only dated 2019.01.08
it was only 24 bux from pbtech as this one is 2 times that so lets hope it also last 2X longer .. pun intended.
i used 1 scxrewdriver and my thumb nail to change it
the onhanglow screwdriver did not fit the tini screws... lucky i had the same screwdriver in my electric box that most probably comes from 1980 japan made.

lol i posted my mother if i am not back i f,,,kd the phone .. currently its on the secound full discharge recharge. lasted from 4 am to 2 pm doing the stuff i normally do like read news spams watch youtubes etc.
i think i did read after 2 times the battery does not need to be discharged fully just the first 2 times from new. the old battery was down to empty on 45 minute youtube and only lasted 4h new under heavy use however i did not specifically cycle that battery full to empty 2 times as i do this new one. from above vendor
