HP Reverb G2 on gaming Laptop - Problem

| 1 | Family recently purchased G2 for use on an Acer Aspire V 15 Nitro 7-593G-77UP - Core i7 with GTX1060. We realised this might be problematic. The laptop has no display port so we got a DP to USB-C adapter. The USB-C plug on the G2 has a usb-c to USB-A adapter and is plugged into a USB 3 port on the laptop. The DP to USB-C adapter plugs into the USB-C port on the laptop. We are getting error 1-4. Plenty on google about this, but no help. Windows gives an error about a USB device having a problem. | 3 | You're better off with a desktop for running the G2. You're already under the minimum specs for your GPU and it's probably going to overheat quickly and start throttling even lower.
