#Post

Is this $40/mth vodafone plan value for money? Currently paying $30/mth for 1 gb with vfone.

Only you can answer that question.

Without knowing what you want to do regarding data, videos, calls and minutes, it's pretty hard to give you advice.

You're currently on a 1GB plan, what do you anticipate changing that will use the 4GB at full speed and then endless data at reduced speed? Will you start watching Netflix? Is Netflix currently too slow? (I'm using Netflix as an example).

I've got a $19 prepay plan with 2 degrees that has 1.25 GB carryover, last time I looked I had 12 GB carryover up my sleeve, I don't watch Netflix on it only random video off Facebook and some whatsapp, post some photos, use some maps, bit of calling and messaging. None of it is slow.

Have managed fine with only 1 gb but still 2 weeks to go on my plan and only a little tiddly bit of data left. Not sure what used it up almost in one day.
As this hasn't happened before maybe I'll just sit and monitor next month.
Cheers.

If you can't remember doing it and didn't lend your phone to anyone, then I'd suspect a software update. I've got my phone set to only do software updates over wifi.

if it is $40 for unlimited how come you have to pay each month? surely if it is unlimited it cannot run out.

The data is unlimited during the month. But if course you'd know that.

Maybe you should have a little read of the Y
T&C's yourself. I'll guarantee you the devil will indeed be in the detail. Do you think these companies are stupid?

some honesty with advertising would help and cut down on BS in t&c.

The application of a couple of brain cells would be of help also. NO-ONE is going to give you unlimited forever data for a tiny one off fee of $40 .

i used to use the 16 doller skinny carry over plan accumulate data when i need it and had almost 20 gigs , you can skip a month or 2 and your unused data is still there when you reactivate the prepay 16 bux plan . while i dont like spark the skinny spark syster or brother outlet is the most fair of all of them. i also dumped 2 degrees hen i got to be there client on adsl1 and went to slingshot instead due to deceptive wording they als use. only on skinny i have not found any backstabbing smallprint

when a client had her credit card compromised before christmas, she had to cancel card and get another issued. Because skinny were deducting the bill from that card her internet got cut off at the end of month. She wasn't able to simply pick up the same plan when she sorted the billing issue, she had to go on one of the more expensive current plans... I might call that backstabbing smallprint...

So she unfortunately forgot to change the billing to her new card? And Skinny just cut her off ? Without warning? Ouch.

she also hadn't changed her current email address for skinny which probably explains the lack of notifications, but the fact you can't just get back onto your existing plan was what I found somewhat unreasonable...

No one said anything about $40 a year. I pay $228 a year, (your plan is $468 a year) has carry over, i currently have 14.89 gb data left for this month, 2397 min talk left. great plan
