Can anyone recommend a basic tablet for a cat.
No joke.
At the moment I have a monitor on the floor so she can play her video games. (youtube cat games)
She goes up to the blank monitor and paws at it until I put it on giving me insistent stares.

Luck cat, lol. Maybe ask in pets and animals?

I've seen the pet things in the shops that have the video and audio, and throw treats around the room, but they haven't saved up enough yet.

iPad Air Gen 4. Get a glass screen protector. My cat still uses a Gen 1.

Not sure the budget will stretch to an ipad but there are tablets out there that will do the job? The ideal will be to set it running and turn off the touch screen.
I might try and get a couple. I need to get Dad (85 years old) and he has less clue on how to operate a computer than the cat. When I showed him my Android CAT phone he was actually happier with that. So perhaps a tablet is the way to go.

Gee... the SPCA need to know about you.. it must be "cruelty" to fob your cat off with old technology ??

I have heard it said by a cat behaviourist that it is frustrating for a cat to have to chase ('hunt') something they cannot catch. That is why the laser beam thing is not recommended. I am wondering if such video games are the best thing. Maybe something more interactive like a feather on a stick? Although I suspect she is now well and truly hooked in. Could be too late!

Like any of their toys it seems clear they know it is for entertainment only. She can be demanding to have the toy active but will walk away when she has had enough.
