1 | how do i stop two things playing at the same time. when i used to cast something from the laptop to the tv, the laptop would switch off and the grey chromecast icon would come up and it would just play on the tv. now though it plays on both which is annoying. i dont seem to have much options to change things. on the cast icon up the top i just have the living room tv, whch i click, and underneath that it says chrome mirroring.then i have the 55fx640 series, which i dont click. then it just has a small box saying sources, and if u click the rop down box it just says, desktop, tab and file. any suggestions please?:( katybaty - 2021-02-27 16:09:00 |

I have a couple of chromecasts, one on the lounge tv and one on the bedroom tv. I very rarely bother playing anything on to the tv from one of the laptops more often I use my phone to cast. On the rare occaions I have cast from the laptop I don't recall even thinking about it I just shut the lid. Seriously. nice_lady - 2021-02-27 18:39:00 |
5 | What video source are you casting from, e.g. is it YouTube? The problem is you are casting using screen mirroring so it has to keep playing on your laptop. If you cast using the cast icon on the video window (aka "Play on TV" on YouTube) then it will set up a direct stream from the web server to the Chromecast, bypassing your laptop. drsr - 2021-03-01 19:14:00 |
