Lockable box for kids?

| I want to set up a treasure hunt for the grandchildren. Where would I buy a CHEAP small box that is lockable with a cheap PADLOCK. I've tried our $2 shops and the Warehouse. No luck. REASON I NEED THIS: The idea is they solve some puzzles to find number clues. Then they have to use these numbers to unlock the padlock and so open the box for the treasure. (Just like in Escape Room.) mrelijah - 2021-02-15 17:05:00 |
| Interesting conundrum. You haven't said how big the box has to be - have you looked on TM at makeup cases/boxes? They can be a reasonable size 15 to 20 cm square ish, and some come with a zip you'd be able to put a padlock on. You may also find a cheap suitcase that has a double sided zip for hooking a padlock through. Or an old laptop case? Edited by sumstyle at 6:43 pm, Mon 15 Feb sumstyle - 2021-02-15 18:36:00 |

| what about a bike lock that works with number code evelyn.tulle - 2021-02-15 20:13:00 |

| I suppose you are going to use a numerical padlock, not a keyed one. voyager4 - 2021-02-18 14:39:00 |
| Interesting suggestions. The box just has to hold the next clue (eg a sheet of paper or a photo or piece of a jigsaw that kind of thing) and, of course, a few lollies. mrelijah - 2021-02-18 19:03:00 |
