6 | some of the new ultra thin laptops, don't have an ethernet port. You use wireless or use an adapter in the USB-C port. exwesty - 2021-02-09 23:37:00 |
7 | Possibly a modem port. But only if an older laptop. How old is the laptop? macman26 - 2021-02-10 11:24:00 |

Had that thought but discounted it as dial up went away a long time ago now. nice_lady - 2021-02-10 11:57:00 |
9 | Even some more modern laptops, maybe only 12 years old still had modem ports. tygertung - 2021-02-10 12:07:00 |

Today I learned 12 year old tech is modern. Despite 12 years ago there was no iPads, uber, WhatsApp or even GPS on smartphones. sw20 - 2021-02-10 12:46:00 |

13 | The ethernet plug socket on my laptop also appears too small, but there is a little flap on the bottom of the socket that opens the hole up bigger. It's not until you get real close and try, that you can see it flips down. nzstocked - 2021-02-11 15:26:00 |
