New laws and old tenancies question

1 | So, we have tenants who moved in to a property in August last year. They are on a FTT for a year. My question is - are we able to give them notice that we want them to move out at the end of the FTT? I’m asking because I think Tenancies from before the new laws come in, are under the old rules. Am I wrong? princess52 - 2021-02-06 23:14:00 |
2 | Yes, that's correct. Part 5 34 Continuation of existing fixed-term tenancies as periodic The amendment made by section 41 of the 2020 Act does not apply to tenancies granted before the commencement date. sw20 - 2021-02-06 23:40:00 |
