Finding a GOOD RE agent Palmerston North

| 1 | My sister and I are executors for our late father's 4bdrm house. I approached an agent. He came to see the property, made a report, gave a quote. BUT, some of his advice I wasn't keen on. There is a damaged door jamb at the back door. I'd like it to be fixed (I am doing it anyway) But the RE agent said to leave it as is. I think this could depreciate the value of the house. Also, I have heard nothing further from him since early December and I think his quoted price to sell the property is quite high, I am thinking of asking to negotiate a rate. However, I must admit, I am not comfortable with his lack of interest. So I need to select a GOOD RE AGENT in the Palmerston North area. Can anybody recommend. I do not want an auction. | 3 | Ignore that agent. You want someone hungry. He isn't. Check out 2 or 3 others and get them round to do appraisals and compare their pitch. | 13 | Most agents will let you know the things to fix and those that do not need to be and sometimes these are not what you might expect. it would be good if you could make a time to be at the house and arrange for the presentations at times in a day. They would need access beforehand. In the meantime you could look on TM. PS have nothing more to do with the first agent you dealt with.
