I can't find an RJ45 to RJ12 cable?

1 | My wall socket is a VDSL RJ45 socket. My modem router has a RJ11 socket. It came with a fairly small 0.5m cable that fits, so it's a cable that has RJ45 on one end, RJ11 or RJ12 on the other. Only the centre two pins are wired. Trouble is this gives me a very limited range of areas I can place my modem. Basically on the windowsill. In the hot sun, which cooked my last router. I have looked for a similar cable, but the only ones I can find on here and other online places at longer lengths are "crossed." Would these work? Or do I need a straight through? I would like to get a 5m or even 10m cable. Also at 10m am I likely to be losing quality or risking interference? imadeyouthink - 2021-01-28 21:06:00 |
2 | You would just need a RJ45 joiner with whatever cable length you need.. Edited by acura at 9:23 pm, Thu 28 Jan acura - 2021-01-28 21:18:00 |
