I saw a tutorial online for making 'piece as you go' framed hexagon quilts (the ones where you place a smaller hexagon on top of a larger one and then fold the edges over twice and hand stitch. I need the inner hexagons to be 2" hexagons (along the edge) for my fussy cutting, but I'm not sure how large the background one should be. I asked in the comments on the tutorial but my comment didn't go through. Does anyone know the answer? Thanks
