Download the images as above link and use something like OSFMount to mount them as a virtual drive that you can then copy files from or run.

yeah, nah. I've got the genuine Windows 3.11 floppies too, can't begin to imagine how much time I spent back in the day installing operating systems.

iso and images are no good to me, dont have a machine fitted with a floppy drive. But I have several old complete blank 386's 486's etc with floppy drives that I want to install DOS on to, if I had a set of the 3 floppies it would make life a lot easier.

might be easier to find a usb floppy drive I would think, so you can create the disks

Yup, looking like the way to go.

I have them but you'd need a FDD for a start and floppies didn't have a great lifespan anyway.
I'd go with the iso....

I've got a machine with floppy drive, maybe I can put it on for you?

If one of the machines with a floppy drive can boot from CD or USB there are tools on various boot disks for creating floppies from images e.g. ultimate boot cd, hiren bootcd.

I have a full set (11) of the MS DOS 6.22 floppies plus a "DOS for Dummies" plus a "Windows for Worksgroups MSDOS" handbook, you are welcome to them all. Contact?

sapper1 - 2021-01-18 14:00:00

Or install DosBox on your good machine and chuck the others away?

Proper hardware is always better than emulators.

Do you want to do a listing for them?

They could be up and running in a few minutes with an emulator.

And they can run anywhere at anytime, and while doing other things.

Old hardware is good to give to the kids to play on.

The reason for all this is I have several old machines, 286's 386's and 486's that I want to set up, call me an old git but I'm into vintage computers.

I see you found my listing, best of luck.

I added a comment to your listing - "Your listing title is a bit confusing. It's actually "MS-DOS v6.22" (3 disks), plus "Windows for Workgroups v3.11" (8 disks). Hope that clarifies. Cheers" - :-) Good luck

I've got some MS DOS floppies here somewhere, there are three of them. Will try and dig them out.

Or just get blank ones and down load the images from the net.

Or if you have some old stuff you might have a CD drive and a ribbon cable to connect it with.

I've got blank discs here too, all the floppy discs are in the same box.

Can you temporarily 'borrow' a FDD from one of the 386 or 486's and have it installed on your master machine? Assuming the motherboard has a FDD controller? Then create the floppy disks with the ISO creator. Or are you simply after the floppies themselves as the physical media to be able to do the boot-up? you might need an intermediate machine that has a FDD controller (and preferably a USB port too)

After the physical disks really, I have several complete old machines with floppy drives and having a set of the disks just makes it a lot easier. But I might just buy a USB floppy drive and create the disks from the iso images I have.

I think she was going to use a newer machine to make the floppies.
