Dodgy traders

#Post

Anyone else get annoyed using the search button "USED" and finding that traders like team.dingo have listed page after page of "BRAND NEW" kit-sets at retail price under the 'USED' category? Damned annoying when you have to scroll through over 100 items from one trader in a bulk re-listing week after week. Don't know about you, but if I'm going to buy new, I'll nip down to the model shop and take it home today AND save the shipping cost.

it is very annoying and makes the search filters redundant really.

Ugh, so annoying.

Search for dining chairs and you get page after page of chair covers. Search for Real Estate under a certain amount and you get houses $500k+ over - or that don't even exist as they haven't been built yet. Or the good old "Items in my area" featuring items in Christchurch... I am in Auckland.

And those traders who call all yarn wool, regardless that it is manmade fibre

Trademe really need search parameters like ebay have where you can put a minus sign before stuff you don't want in the search results. E.g. 'dining chairs -covers'

I have suggested it to them but they weren't interested unfortunately but maybe if more people ask too

I'm slowly working out that I can just scan quickly through the "junk" and IGNORE the likes of "team.dingo" BUT it is SO EASY to miss some good listings in the middle of the BLOCK LISTED NEW ITEMS. I too have reported it to T/M but it falls on deaf ears. Just the same as my complaints about items listed in the wrong category - they just want to "MILK THE SELLER OF WITHDRAWAL FEES". All that does is 'clog the categories with junk'.
