Any recommendations for heat pump assessor/installers in Auckland?
I have been away for ages so don't know who is reliable or not... any suggestions considered and appreciated :)

Do you research and get at least two quotes - there are some "cowboys" out there. For our home we used an old-established firm called Varcoe who recommended a ceiling installation vented to outside as no suitable outside walls were available. This was at least 3 years ago and we are entirely satisfied with their workmanship. No problems whatsoever.

For a rental (two units) we got a quote from Varco, but ended up with a cheaper one from another firm - outside wall was not a problem with this..Capricorngirl

I recommend:
https://www.kiwiheatpump.co.nz/

And also:
West Auckland - https://www.heatandcool.co.nz/
Northshore - https://www.albanyheatpumps.co.nz/

I have only installed Mitsibushi or Fujitsu heatpumps.
Which seem to be reasonably reliable.

As pcle has said Mitsibushi or Fujitsu heatpumps are the most reliable. We have installed these brands in four properties with no probs. whatsoever. Capricorngirl

Make sure whoever does it has an appropriate electrical practicing certificate and leaves you with a certificate of compliance.

When we got a heat pump we went for a package deal... the heat pump shop sent the installer around to sus-out the job and recommend what size model to install and where.. quoted a supply & install price, and then got it done... then the nice lady from the heat pump shop called in to our place, on her way home, to inspect the job and make sure we were happy and gave us a very comprehensive lesson in how to operate it correctly etc including cleaning the filters etc... very happy with the "one stop shop" system...
I understand that it is important that the installer is trained / licensed / authorised to install the make and model of heat pump you choose.

We installed Panasonic heatpump, the guy who installed it said he had the same one at his place. Very reassuring. Very professional, our case involved drilling through a concrete wall and removing half a ceiling(unexpectedly), but he didn't charge us more for the extra work. Will use him again. It was a couple of years ago, hope the details are still the same. Yougesh

My brother went with a Daikin, he did a heap of research and his best mate is an installer. I went with Fujtsu. Been installed two years and absolutely no issues. I also used to work the guy that did my install.

can any one help with a heat pump installation in Welcome Bay Tauranga. I accepted a supply and install price from a retailer. The heat pump has turned up and paid for but now his installer has disappeared and I will now find my own installer to do the job. Cash is available. Please advise . Thanks
