My newish laptop will let me see and hear caller but they cant see or hear me....we both have a bright red light where picture should be...camera and sound are turned on in settings.....when I go into camera on settings and take a photo it is of the same red light blob. What is wrong!!!! 22ks to Harvey Norman help.

Sounds like a fault, take it back and have store check it. Did it ever work?

launch windows camera app and see if it works there.

did you take the cover off it?

yep as willfam mentioned, maybe you still have the privacy cover still blocking the camera

Yes willfam and king 1 you are correct. I had been sitting in bad light and after spending hours on the settings I took it out to good light and saw the slide cover......AND a sticker covering camera as well. DUH......Thanks..... I had got wise myself...after 6 hours.
